I'm an engineer and I have to say: UV-C light is nothing new. Why should this device be any different from the cheap UV lamps available on Amazon for £20? To me, it sounds like pure marketing...
Good question! I used to have one of those Chinese lamps too. The difference is that the cheap ones usually have LEDs instead of real quartz tubes—LEDs never reach the correct 254 nm wavelength. ClairLite has a real quartz tube like the ones used in hospitals. You can also tell by the performance—the Amazon ones are toys in comparison. I've compared both.
Wait a minute—isn't UV-C radiation dangerous? I have small children and a dog. I don't want to put a cancer lamp in my living room! Can someone explain this to me before I order?
I had the same fear! You don't use it while you're in the room. You put it in an empty room, leave, start it with the remote control, and after 15-30 minutes everything is disinfected. No more radiation, no more danger. My two cats and I are still alive 😄I've been using it every day for 4 months.
70% discount? 🙄That's the oldest sales trick in the book. How much does it really cost, and is it even worth it?
I paid £69 with the discount. For comparison: professional UV-C sterilizers for clinics cost £400-800. Considering that this is the same technology, the price is fair. After 3 months, I'll easily have made the money back because I'm no longer at the pharmacy every 2 weeks buying cold medicine...
As someone who is allergic to dust mites, I can only say: FINALLY. For years, I struggled with encasings, special vacuum cleaners, and hypoallergenic bedding. Since I started using ClairLite three times a week in my bedroom, my nose is clear in the morning. At my last checkup, my allergist was surprised at how good my readings were. I can only recommend it to anyone with allergies!
How am I supposed to know if it works? You can't see germs! It's just a placebo effect when people say they feel better...
I bought a germ measuring device (ATP tester) on Amazon for £30. Before, in the bedroom: value 387. After 20 minutes of ClairLite: value 12. That's measurable, not a placebo. Try it yourself if you're skeptical!
We have three children (aged 2, 5, and 8) and last winter we were CONSTANTLY ill. One of them brought something home from nursery, then the whole family caught it. It was a ping-pong effect, just like described in the article. We've been using ClairLite since March and this winter we've had just ONE cold, which didn't even affect everyone. That's proof enough for me.
I know what that's like! I have three children too, which is exactly why I ordered it. Hopefully it will arrive this week🤞
