Wensleydale, North Yorkshire — deep in the Yorkshire Dales, ten minutes from Hawes. Her late husband Tom was a joiner. He taught her the teardrop form, and Peggy has never built another shape. In thirty-two years she has built more than 3,000 houses — every one with the same slot calibration, every one with the puddler at the base. Every package she packs herself, and she writes a personal note to every buyer.

This will put a very good sharpening to any knife. Tried it on the bluntest knife I could find (Wouldn't cut a banana) brought it very much back to life. And would slice any soft tomatoes. Average household you need this sharpener.. Its brilliant... Will bring a scaryish sharpness. But you will feel the serrations on the blade. Buy one!

We're not talking standard knives here, we're talking paring knives, filleting knives, French cooks knife, to name a few. They've all been through it and come out of the 3 stage sharpener with neat edges that can shave the hairs off your arm with ease.
